We will train students capable of optimizing manufacturing processes and systems with innovative solutions that seek high productivity, flexibility and competitiveness leveraged in the digitalization and automation of processes; and ensure that graduates are equipped to lead the emerging industrial landscape and make a technological transition towards Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation of the organization.

Why study Industrial Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing?

The challenges of global competitiveness and rapid changes in the environment are forcing manufacturing systems to become more flexible and increase the speed of response with cost-effective solutions. In the future, industries attached to the 4.0/5.0 revolution will require engineers with a high capacity to design or transform production plants based on simulation models, digital twins, Industrial Internet of Things, automation, CAD/CAM and cutting-edge technologies, which will be combined with the correct formulation, evaluation, planning and execution of multidisciplinary and multi-year projects. In other words, turning our professional into an agent of change as an “engineering strategist”.

The curriculum focuses on the optimization of manufacturing processes and systems that seek to leverage digitalization to achieve high productivity and flexibility in the emerging industry 4.0. Students will be able to transform production plants with cutting-edge technology with key project planning skills.
